Thank You

The polls have closed and the ballots counted and although the result is disappointing, the ride sure has been memorable.  This experience is one which has strengthened my faith, united my family and shown me the character and integrity of our community.  

I am so deeply thankful for the dedication of my supporters and their generosity of time, resources and encouraging words. I am proud of my team and the countless hours they gave to help my campaign. I am grateful for the opportunity to truly get to know the people of this district and will never forget their kindness and hospitality.

Although this chapter of my life has come to a close, I am going to continue to work hard to serve this community and fight for the principles that have made this nation great. I look forward to spending some more time with my grandkids, and maybe even picking up my golf clubs again.

But the fight for liberty and freedom is not over and I hope that you will join me in supporting Republican nominee Tom Watson in the race against Lois Capps. Now is the time that we must put politics and past preference aside and unite to elect a representative to Congress who will stand against big government bailouts and out of control spending plans.

Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for your support throughout my campaign. I would not have been able to do any of this without you. God bless you and God bless the United States of America.
